Five female voices, five artistic personalities, one musical breath: Il Quinto Elemento is a jazz vocal ensemble founded in 2015, capable of transforming the meeting of voices into surprising harmonies, rhythmic interplay and scenic storytelling. Winner at the Solevoici international competition in Varese (2016) as “Best Jazz Formation” and “Best Soloist,” the quintet has developed an original concert path, performing in unusual contexts – museums, gardens, mountains, even prisons – where music becomes direct dialogue with the listener. Their “fifth element” is theatrical entertainment, made of lightness, irony and improvisation, but always guided by musical refinement and care for harmony. The five performers bring with them international careers in jazz, classical and contemporary music, collaborations with musicians such as Francesco De Gregori, Phil Woods, Nico Gori, Renato Sellani, Burt Bacharach. They also have to their credit the album Introducing (Filibusta Records, 2020), enthusiastically received by critics and audiences.
The result is a concert that combines emotional intensity, musical elegance and contagious stage energy: their music is not just singing, but theater, play and poetry. An ensemble that transforms the voice into a living, pulsating orchestra, capable of surprising and renewing itself with each performance.
