Commonwealth War Cemetery
The "Bolsena War Cemetery," known as the "English Cemetery," is one of the most deeply intimate and impactful places in our City.

It contains approximately 600 burials of the British Army and Commonwealth citizens from World War II, who died in the fighting that followed the Allied landing in the battlefields between Bolsena and Orvieto.
It is located on the Via Cassia, between Montefiascone and Bolsena, and is a kind of beautiful “terrace” that overlooks the lake, filled with emotions with its white marble headstones and surrounded by the silence and beauty of nature that, with the changing seasons, dies and is reborn, giving an immense sense of peace.
